<image:title>East City Knife Co - Knife Sharpening & Sales- Peterborough, ON - Hi, I’m Chris, the founder of East City Knife Co.</image:title>
<image:caption>I began my career working in restaurants at 14 years old. It was not long after my first shift as a dishwasher that I decided to dedicate my career to food. There is never a dull moment in the food business, and I spent 15 years accumulating incredible experiences from working for celebrity chefs to running a popular diner that was featured on the food network. Although I was constantly surrounded by skilled and passionate people I was surprised by how frequently I encountered damaged and dull knives in professional kitchens. Knives are definitely the most important tool in a cook’s arsenal. Many cooks spend a small fortune on their knives and few take the time to learn how to care for them and maintain them. I realized that I would much rather work with a $5 knife that was sharp than a $300 dull knife. I then began my journey learning about the craft of sharpening. I am excited to bring you blacksmith-made knives, as well as knife sharpening and repair. Come visit the store, I’d love to help you find the right knife for you.</image:caption>
